ABOUT BRADY

“Golden-voiced tenor," Brady DelVecchio, is a celebrated lyric tenor, known for his extraordinary vocal abilities and artistry. 

​

Hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Brady began singing professionally while attending Pittsburgh Creative And Performing Arts High School, quickly distinguishing himself for his powerful, clear voice and emotive performances. Over the years, Brady performed as part of prestigious companies including Detroit Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, Opera Theater of Pittsburgh, LOFT Opera, Center for Contemporary Opera, Dell Arte Opera Ensemble, and Toledo Opera. In productions, he has been noted for “emerging as a bona fide romantic lead” and his ability to “brave the music’s demands with skill and poise to spare” from baroque opera and oratorio through to contemporarily composed works.

 

Recent performances have included Le Prince Charmant in Cendrillon, Mercurio in La Calisto, Rektor/ Komár and Pasek in PÅ™íhody lišky Bystroušky, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Nanki-Poo in The Mikado, Spoletta in Tosca, and the u

pcoming opera performances including El Remendado in Carmen and a cover for the role of Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore.


In addition to his work in operatic roles, Brady has ventured into crossover genres, musical theater ( including the roles of Timothy Harper in Strike Up the Band, Professor in South Pacific while also covering Lt. Joseph Cable and Capt. George Brackett, and Tony in West Side Story), sacred song, plays (including Jonathan Harker in Dracula (Dietz)), and film music; all while expanding his musical repertoire. He regularly is featured as a soloist in orchestral performances of Oratorio works by Bach, Handel, Mendelssohn, Saint-Saëns, and Schubert. His commitment to exceptional craft and passion for storytelling has earned him a dedicated following and critical acclaim.

Education:

He pursued formal training at Johns Hopkins Peabody Conservatory of Music, earning his Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance.

Current Work:

Since Autumn 2024 Brady has been the tenor resident artist at Toledo Opera serving the company in several comprimario roles, swing roles, and outreach programs. Brady also currently serves as the tenor soloist and section leader at FPCRO. He regularly performs with The Macomb Symphony Orchestra, AUDIVI, and was a member of the Detroit Opera Chorus. Outside of his performances on stage, Brady is well known for his engagement with the community, often offering educational programs, workshops, and master classes to nurture the next generation of musicians.
